After scaring the NHL with his "Beast" mask earlier this year, Calgary Flames Goalie has unveiled new mask art inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's famous poem "The Raven".

The mask features several variations on the titular bird, including a raven perched upon a human skull. The poem's final line "And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted—nevermore!" also appears across the top of the mask.

HeadStrongGrafx's Jason Livery said Ramo was very hands on in the creation of the mask art:

“He loved being part of the design aspect so if anyone was to ask him about his mask he could explain the significance of the design.”

Hey, when you play for the Calgary Flames, it's important to have hobbies to keep you sane.
