Corpus Christi Hooks' second basemen Delino DeShields Jr. -- son of former Major League Baseball player Delino DeShields -- took a 90 MPH fastball to the face last night from Frisco RoughRiders' pitcher Phil Klein. DeShields Jr. reportedly broke his cheek bone in the process. From the looks of this photo, he'll be drinking smoothies for the foreseeable future.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
