Jaguars show off world's largest scoreboard

The Jaguars unveiled the world's largest scoreboard on Saturday in Jacksonville.

The largest scoreboard in the world now belongs to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team unveiled a mammoth 60 feet high, 362 feet long video screen at EverBank Field on Saturday, to a chorus of cheers and fireworks. The board is part of an initiative to draw more fans to the games (considering the Jaguars attendance issues over the years, they can use all the help they can get).

“What we’re doing is upgrading the experience for our fans,” Jags owner Shahid Khan told the New York Times. “This is another step in the arms race to get the fans back into the stadium.”

The next challenge: making sure these scoreboards don't become sentient and destroy civilization.
