The four-time NBA champion is in Buenos Aires currently and not in Spain to represent his country in the FIBA World Cup. He's still recovering from a stress fracture in his left leg so the Spurs decided earlier this summer to keep him from risking injury in international play.
Good for Manu for getting the statue. For a guy who was picked second-to-last in the 1999 NBA draft, the statue is a well-deserved tribute to one of the greatest underdogs in NBA history.
Vieja: no me recibí de médico, pero me hicieron una estatua en Buenos Aires! #TomáMate. http://t.co/s4BoygRXpm
