Baseball's home run king Barry Bonds has joined Twitter and is quickly getting the hang of how people use the social media network.

He fired off a slightly awkward first tweet:

He gave his condolences on a celebrity death:

And he talked about what he was eating:

LeBron James custom Jeep will be auctioned off for charity

That pretty much covers all the most common uses of Twitter. 

It is also worth noting that Bonds already has the verification check mark next to his name, but no asterisk.
