Northern Illinois University alumni have taken out a full page ad in the Chicago Tribune to celebrate the team's win over Northwestern, while also challenging the state's other Big Ten school, the University of Illinois.

Northern Illinois University alumni have taken out a full page ad in the Chicago Tribune to celebrate the team's win over Northwestern while also challenging the state's other Big Ten school, the University of Illinois.

The ad also contains a dig at Northwestern football's ad campaign in which it refers to itself as "Chicago's Big Ten Team", with the Huskies referring to themselves as "Chicago's Big Time College Football Team."

NIU also warns the Illini that they are next, although a football game between the schools is not currently scheduled.
