Candidates in NY governor's race are making football-based attack ads

The New York gubernatorial race is getting heated. Candidates are now resorting to using their opponents' NFL allegiances as political ammunition.

An ad that ran in the Buffalo area last week asks voters if they want a Dolphins fan like Rob Astorino to be their governor.

But Astorino points out on Twitter that his opponent, Andrew Cuomo, is a Jets fan, and fraternizes with Jon Bon Jovi, the most hated man in Buffalo.

Are there any Patriots fans running? Can we get the whole AFC East represented?
