Billionaire investor Warren Buffet placed his first ever bet at a Las Vegas sports book over the weekend, picking the Nebraska Cornhuskers to cover a -12.5 point spread over the Fresno State Bulldogs, which, of course, was successful.

CNBC reports that several savvy bettors noticed the Berkshire-Hathaway CEO take Nebraska and rushed to join the financial whiz. If only they had thought of that strategy 50 years ago.
