Trump reportedly bid less than $900 million for the team, which Buffalo Sabres owner Pegula paid around $1.4 billion for earlier this month.

Pegula was the preferred bidder among Bills fans thanks to his local ties, while fellow ownership candidate Jon Bon Jovi was decidedly not.
