Friday September 19th, 2014

Penn State head coach James Franklin decided to call in to a local talk radio show while on a recruiting trip to Pittsburgh on Friday, but the show's producer hung up on him when he introduced himself, assuming it was a prank call.

Franklin then joined in on the recent trend started by Kentucky's John Calipari and continued by Florida's Will Muschamp of calling in with a mild disguise, by phoning the show as "James from State College," which got him on the air.

The whole interview can be heard at CBS Radio Pittsburgh's website, with Franklin explaining the difficulties of proving who you are over the phone.
