Failing Brazilian soccer team turns to hypnotist to save season

Brazilian Serie B club Portuguesa are in danger of being relegated, so the team's coach is willing to hire a hypnotist to teach his players to walk on glass and bend metal rebar with their chests.
According to The Guardian, coach VagnerBenazzi had heard reports that the hypnotist helped turn other clubs around, and had run out of ideas for ways to help.
"I don’t like to miss out on a good opportunity. I know what he has done elsewhere, and I want him to work with my players before games. There will be limits – I am the boss – and he will not disrupt the technical or physical side. But I accept his role due to the situation the club finds itself in. It’s a desperate situation.”

Hypnotist Olimar Tesser has previously worked his mind- and metal-bending exercises with the Atibaia soccer club.
The newspaper also points out that Hypnotism has a history in professional soccer, with Gloucester City meeting with one before its victory over Merthyr Tydfil in 1959.
