Rapper and Maybach Music Group head Rick Ross says he has met with members of the Miami Dolphins front office to discuss purchasing a minority stake in his hometown NFL team.

Ross discussed the meeting during a recent interview with Angie Martinez on Power 105.1, saying he has been trying to become a part owner for a while.

“I went and sat down with the Miami Dolphins, we discussed a few things. You know, I’ve been interested in trying to buy a small percentage of the Dolphins for some time. They finally invited me into the office. I sat with some people. It was a real positive conversation.”

Richard Petty hasn't seen a movie since 1989

The Dolphins have previously sold small portions of the team to other famous musicians, including Gloria Estefan and Fergie, according to USA Today.
