New York Knicks president Phil Jackson told the audience at a New Yorker Festival event on Sunday that Spike Lee's knowledge of basketball is not exactly great.

Jackson was speaking about an upcoming documentary Lee has made for the MSG Network about the details of the coach's famed triangle offense, when he said the filmmaker's love of the team far surpasses his basketball IQ, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.

"Spike is an avid Knicks fan who doesn't know anything about basketball."

Lee probably does not take to kindly to people questioning his knowledge of the game, but he can hang his orange and blue Knicks hat on the fact that most people probably know very little about the sport compared to Phil Jackson.
