SI has an excerpt from the new book PARCELLS: A FOOTBALL LIFE by Bill Parcells and Nunyo Demasio that details all the events surrounding Bill Belichick's 1999 decision to resign as head coach of the Jets to take over the Patriots. It's a really good read and didn't exactly paint Charlie Weis in the most positive of lights. Almost as interesting is this story in today's Daily News about how Tom Brady was nearly drafted by the Jets 20 picks before the Patriots nabbed him in the 2000 Draft. The teams face off tonight and don't be surprised if Darrelle Revis plays a few snaps at wide receiver.

The Wall Street Journal watched two full games from the 2014 season for all 32 NFL teams to see how many times the broadcast cut to the head coach or starting quarterback. Jim Harbaugh, Bill Belichick and Chip Kelly were the top three among coaches while Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Teddy Bridgewater were the leaders among QBs. And coming in last place were poor Mike McCarthy and Mike Glennon.
