TCU scored so much against Texas Tech that it ran out of fireworks

Here's how good TCU's offense has been this season: The program has already run out of its supply of fireworks to celebrate touchdowns.

Whenever TCU scores at home, the touchdown is celebrated with fireworks. Here's how good TCU's offense has been this season: The program has already run out of its supply of fireworks to celebrate touchdowns.

And we're not talking about a one game's supply. On Saturday night as it scored 82 points against Texas Tech, the program ran out of its entire season's supply of pyrotechnics, Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Licensing Drew Martin said Sunday:

TCU has the top-scoring offense in the nation this season under head coach Gary Patterson, scoring an insane 50.4 points per game. The 82 points against Texas Tech were a Big 12 record and the most in an FBS conference game since 2010.

TCU plays at West Virginia next week, when it'll need some of that high-powered offense in Morgantown.
