Alabama auctioning seats in press box for game against Western Carolina

Alabama fans wishing to rub elbows with the very people responsible for the media's incredible SEC bias may be able to get their wish. The school's athletic department is auctioning off four seats in the press box for the game against Western Carolina on Nov. 22.

"This is your chance to experience the Western Carolina game as a media guest," the description proclaims.

To be clear, attending a game as a credentialed member of the media is not fun. Cheering is not allowed. Some press boxes are enclosed in sound-proof glass, so you can't even live vicariously through the cheers of everyone else.

The auction description notes that you'll be treated to press box meals. Press box meals are bad. They usually include some kind of sad pregame pastry platter, followed by pizza at halftime from some awful chain restaurant.

And of course, this is SEC powerhouse Alabama enjoying a pseudo-bye week against FCS Western Carolina so they can rest up before the Iron Bowl.

Do not buy this.
