John Marshall is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound sophomore guard on the Southern Utah Thunderbirds basketball team who hails from Phoenix. He averaged 5.3 points per game last season and led the team with 68 assists.

He seems like a perfectly nice young man. He almost certainly didn't deserve this.

The referee's nonchalant stare and refusal to call a foul is just icing on the cake.

It's only the first day of the season, but Brandon Bolden's absolute destruction of Marshall is already a candidate for Block of the Year.

Kansas State went on to win 98-68. Really, though, the game should've been called right then.
