Cam Newton's Twitter got hacked and trash-talked Richard Sherman

Richard Sherman's Seahawks beat Cam Newton's Panthers, 13-9, in Week 8. Newton completed 54.5 percent of his passes for 171 yards. So when a tweet from Newton's Twitter account appeared to call out Sherman, something didn't add up.

According to the Panthers, though, Newton's account was hacked.
Cam Newton's twitter account has been hacked, we're currently working to resolve the issue.

Usually, saying an account is hacked is just an easy way to escape criticism, but it seems like Newton's account may have actually been compromised.
• Steve Spurrier trolls Clemson fans again
Newton's feed was filled with a whole bunch of dumb things only some idiotic hacker would think to post.

Cam Newton's account has been…odd…this afternoon. He deleted a "Smh" tweet, then undid a RT about Ben Tate, now this. pic.twitter.com/0LYQ4s60Pp

The tweets were all deleted and Newton eventually regained control of his account.

Now he can go back to tweeting advertisements.
UPDATE: The hacker is back.
The hacker hijacked Newton's account again later Tuesday and posted, among other things, a link to a terrible rap song.

The Panthers say they're on it.
Yeah, so @CameronNewton's account is still compromised. We're working to resolve the issue.

UPDATE No. 2: Some time after 6:15 Tuesday evening, Newton's account was suspended, ending the hacker's joyride.
