Bill Self was hoping for vodka after Kansas' blowout loss to Kentucky

Wednesday November 19th, 2014

The Kansas Jayhawks were blown out of the gym on Tuesday night courtesy of the No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats. The 72-40 loss was the largest margin of defeat for Bill Self as Kansas head coach and he was looking for a way to drown his sorrows after the game.

Self plopped down at the post-game press conference where he was set to face the media after the disappointing loss and he instantly broke the ice with some humor.

After he took a sip from his water bottle, Self said, "I was hoping that was vodka."
