Duke grad assistant gets football team excited by smashing a chair

Friday November 21st, 2014

While the Tobacco Road rivalry between UNC and Duke is generally focused on the hardwood, the two schools certainly have enough dislike left over to get pumped up when the schools face off on the gridiron, as they did on Thursday night.

That level of intensity was personified in the Blue Devils locker room by a graduate assistant named Chris Hoover, who briefly lost his mind in the moments before the team took the field, leaving an innocent folding chair in his wake.

The chair's sacrifice turned out to be all for naught though as Duke fell to the Tar Heels 45-20.
