Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon catches ricocheting puck with stick

Monday December 1st, 2014

A week ago Odell Beckham Jr.'s amazing catch had everyone talking, but now a new entry in the best catch contest is coming from an unexpected place, Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche.

MacKinnon's impressive grab came on Saturday as a shot ricocheted off the protective netting in the Pepsi Center, coming to rest safely on his stick.

Tossing a puck around with hockey sticks is certainly nothing new among hockey players but the degree of difficulty of this catch certainly deserves some special attention for last season's NHL Rookie of the Year.
