Bo Jackson will be playable character in Madden

Tuesday December 9th, 2014

Later this month, for the first time ever, Madden players will be able to play as Bo Jackson.

Between Dec. 22 and Jan. 1, Jackson will be unlocked in the Madden Ultimate Team and on Madden NFL Mobile. Since Madden didn't acquire NFL rights until 1993, Jackson has never been featured in the video game series.

The character will be rookie version of Jackson, with a temporary stat boost, as if he wasn't unstoppable enough to begin with.

Of course, Jackson was famously featured in Tecmo Bowl, which was released for the original Nintendo in 1989, but video games are whole lot different know. Madden Bo Jackson will look a whole lot more lifelike than his 8-bit predecessor.
