Wade Boggs told Charlie Day he once drank 107 beers in a day

Tuesday January 13th, 2015

The new season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is beginning soon, and on the premier episode, the cast takes on the famous urban legend that Wade Boggs once drank 64 beers on a cross country team flight.

Charlie Day stopped by The Tonight Show to chat with Jimmy Fallon and he talked about filming Boggs cameo in the episode, and that the former Red Sox and Yankees third baseman confirmed the story to him between takes.

In fact, Boggs said that his single day record for beers is actually 107, which is just jaw dropping. Even if he had half that many beers over a full weekend it would be impressive, let alone on a work day.

The Baseball Hall of Fame needs to update Boggs plaque to reflect this new info as soon as possible.
