Elliott's hits include the songs "Work It, "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)," "Hot Boyz" and "Get Ur Freak On." The 43-year-old was featured on a remix of Perry's 2011 song, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)."

Last year's halftime show, which was done by Bruno Mars, had a special appearance by the band Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Beyonce's 2013 show was joined by a couple of her former Destiny's Child group mates.
