Former NHL defenseman Ryan Whitney hilariously live-tweets Oscars

Ryan Whitney has gone from NHL defenseman and Olympic medalist to an entertainment tweep. 

Whitney, who’s now playing for HC Sochi in the KHL after spending the previous nine seasons in the NHL, took on the Oscars and its celebrities all the way from Russia. 

He’ll probably never be the Red Carpet reporter for Fashion Police, but his sartorial advice is on point. 

He challenges the Columbus Blue Jackets for snark coming from a hockey social media account, but someone needs to hook Whitney up with an award show blog.
