Syracuse had a four-on-two fastbreak opportunity in Saturday's game against Duke, but it failed miserably.

Junior guard Trevor Cooney triggered the break by pushing the ball upcourt and hitting freshman guard Kaleb Joseph in stride just outside the paint. Joseph caught the ball... and promptly fell down.

Cooney grabbed the loose ball, put it up... and hit only the backboard.

Cooney again secured the loose ball... and bobbled it out of bounds.

It's been a rough start to the year for athletes falling down. SI's archives show the misfortune began with Jameis Winston's infamous slip-fumble against Oregon and continued with Arizona forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson... twice.

Unfortunately for the Orange, it's unlikely that converting this fastbreak would've made a difference—Duke won, 73-54.
