Virginia Tech coach Buzz Williams decided to help a fan out with her free throw shooting during a timeout in Wednesday night's game.
Virginia Tech had an 11-21 record heading into the ACC tournament on Wednesday, meaning it needed to win it all to grab a March Madness bid.
The stakes were still pretty high with the Hokies trailing the Miami Hurricanes by one point in the second half when Tech coach Buzz Williams decided to help a fan out with her free-throw shooting.
Williams and the Hokies went on to lose 59-49, ending their season. No word on how Williams's entry fared in the free-throw shooting contest.
