Travis Trice's mom distracts Virginia shooters with unholy ululation

Listen in as Michigan State player Travis Trice's mom makes a terrifying sound when Virginia shoots free throws

Michigan State defeated Virginia Sunday 60-54 behind four three-pointers and 23 points from Travis Trice. But the Spartans' senior had more than just his shot working.

Trice's mom Julie - a vocal proponent of Michigan State hoops - helped distract Virginia shooters at the free-throw line with wailing ululation, SB Nation said.

According to the Lansing State-Journal, the yell has been a thing at since Trice's high school games. That's a lot of ululating.

• Michigan State on to Sweet 16 after knocking out Virginia again

While the shrieking may have contributed to Cavs' star Anthony Gill missing a pair of free throws, Virginia's shooting from the stripe wasn't its problem Sunday. The Cavs shot 18 of 26 from the line, but only 2 of 17 from behind the arc in the loss.

The next team to face Julie's yell will be the winner of the Oklahoma - Dayton game Sunday evening.
