Pirates' Andrew McCutchen auctioning off dreadlocks for charity
Andrew McCutchen will be sporting a streamlined look for Opening Day after he shaved off his signature dreadlocks so they can be auctioned off for charity.
McCutchen's long locks have been with him throughout his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he seems almost unrecognizable without them.
Ten of the dreadlocks will be paired with signed baseballs to be auctioned off to benefit Pirates Charities, with the current high bid sitting at $300 with over seven days remaining on the auction.
The Pirates centerfielder has been the team's leader as the franchise has experienced a resurgence over the last few seasons, making the playoffs twice in a row after failing to have a winning record for 20 straight years.
