Drivers in the D.C. area got a welcome surprise Wednesday when the Washington Nationals' mascot paid their highway tolls.
Drivers in the D.C. area got a welcome surprise Wednesday courtesy of the Washington Nationals.
The team's mascot, Screech, paid drivers' tolls on a Northern Virginia highway and handed them Nats hats.
The Nats were hoping to foster goodwill with commuters and entice them to come out to the ballpark for Opening Day.
If you do end up going to the game, don't expect to have the Nationals pay your toll, or your parking.
