U.S. soccer players Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan appeared on American Idol to talk World Cup

U.S. soccer players Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan appeared on American Idol on Wednesday to chat about the World Cup with host Ryan Seacrest. 

The players presented Seacrest a jersey bearing his first name and the number 14, representing American Idol's 14 seasons, and suggested the host be the U.S. team's water boy at the FIFA's Women's World Cup this summer.

Seacrest then announced that the American Idol winner would record the official anthem for FOX's coverage of the World Cup, prompting excitement from several of the show's final six contestants.
