Wale had some trash talk for Drake after Wizards swept Raptors

Monday April 27th, 2015

The Wizards-Raptors series was more than just an opening-round clash between two Eastern Conference teams, it was also a battle between rappers Drake and Wale.

Toronto native Drake is a "Global Ambassador" for the Raptors, while Wale serves as "Creative Liason" for his hometown Wizards, and after a contentious sweep was completed on Sunday, Wale had some gloating to do.

Wale piled as many Drake memes as he could into the hashtags of his victory Instagram post, which also featured the rapper wearing a broom necklace and carrying a championship belt.

The team's official account also piled on with Drake jokes, posting an altered version of Drake's "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" album cover.

Of course, none of this compares to the mountain of smack talked by Paul Pierce after the series ended.
