Wizards, Capitals owner will shave his head if both teams make finals
Ted Leonsis owns both the Washington Wizards and Capitals, two teams who are not only in the playoffs, but are leading series against the top seeds in their conferences.
This windfall of good fortune has Leonsis, and Washington sports, fans feeling pretty great, so he has decided to up the ante in an interview with NBC 4-Washington, and agreed to shave his head bald if both teams make it all the way to the finals. The owner was asked about an earlier claim that he would get a mohawk if the Wizards made the finals.
Leonsis said he would be willing to go even further than a mohawk if both team continue their postseason success, according to NBC.
"I’ll shave my head bald if both teams get to the finals. That would be the least that I could do. And I bet you we could do something for charity and get thousands of people to get mohawks or shave their head bald, because it would be a very, very unique, once-in-a-lifetime kind of achievement.”
