Giants' WR Odell Beckham Jr. is on the cover of Madden 2016

Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is on the cover of Madden 2016

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will grace the cover of Madden 2016, ESPN announced Wednesday.

Beckham beat out New England Patriots' tight end Rob Gronkowski for the honor by winning a fan poll conducted by EA Sports, the makers of the popular video game.

Beckham won the poll with 52.5% of the vote. He's the first Giants player to be on the Madden cover.

In his debut NFL season in 2014, Beckham caught 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. He made one of the best plays of the year with a leaping one-handed catch in November against Dallas.

Only time will tell if the Giants will fall prey to the infamous Madden Curse in 2015.
