Twitter was surprised to find out Elton Brand was on the Hawks

NBA veteran Elton Brand made a very brief appearance in the opening game of the Eastern Conference championship after DeMarre Carroll left the game with a knee injury.
Brand came in the game just long enough to go one-for-two from the line filling in for Carroll before immediately fouling Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson and returning to the bench.
The 15-year veteran has appeared in just 36 games for the Hawks this season and only three in the playoffs, so it is no surprise that many basketball fans were surprised to see the power forward is still in the league.

Ok. I'm just gonna say it. I didn't even know Elton Brand was a Hawk. I know I'm not the only one.

This is just a small sample of a sea of tweets with the same sentiment about the number one pick in the 1999 draft.
