At 6'5", 231 pounds, Evans certainly has basketball size and was a force on the hardwood in high school. He averaged 18.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game as a senior at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas.
After committing to play football at Texas A&M, Evans received an offer to play basketball at Texas, he told the Dallas Morning News in 2013.
