Watch: John Cena welcomes young fan battling cancer into ring
After the most recent Monday Night Raw, John Cena had a special surprise for one fan in the audience.
A young fan in the crowd was holding up a sign that read, “I'm Beating Cancer,” which Cena spotted. Cena then gave a speech in the ring about referencing his famous ”Never Give Up” phrase and specifically mentioned the boy.
“If I say or if I wear the words 'never give up,' not only am I telling the truth, but I am encouraging young and old, all alike, like that person right there to do the exact same thing,” Cena said just before inviting the fan into the ring.
The fan then got to go up with Cena and hold his belt while getting an ovation from the crowd. Video of the moment can be seen below.
