Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer discussed a new way forward for the franchise on 'Conan' while unveiling the team's new look.

The new logo features an 'A,' surrounded by an 'L,' which is enclosed by a blue letter 'C,' which itself is set inside a basketball. 

"Let's face facts. You look back at the history of the Clippers? It's not a happy history," Ballmer said.

"People want a new Clippers. They want a happy ending to the story." At this point, Ballmer ripped open a plastic bag with a new oversized Clippers shirt, and handed host Conan O'Brien a new hat. 

The logo is set to officially be released on Thursday. 

Ballmer, a former Microsoft executive, purchased the Clippers for $2 billion in May 2014. 

Former franchise owner Donald Sterling was forced to sell the team after recordings surfaced of him making racist remarks.
