After the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Kentucky forward Karl-Anthony Towns with the first pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, Wolves point guard Ricky Rubio was quick to welcome the rookie.

Towns spent most of the lead up to the draft as the consensus top pick, but that didn’t stop Rubio from getting some early rookie hazing in. Bold move from the four-year veteran!

“Hello @KarlTowns !! You ready to pick up my dry cleaning tomorrow ?? #WelcomeRook,” Rubio tweeted, which is hilarious because aside from his slick passing and dribbling, Rubio is quite possibly the nicest-looking player in the NBA.

We’ll see how quickly Towns responds. He’ll most likely need to contribute quickly—the Wolves finished 16–66 last season.
