As part of this year's Where are they Now issue, SI caught up with former pro wrestlers Tito Santana and Madusa and discovered one (Santana) is a high school spanish teacher and the other (Madusa) is a monster truck driver. Soccer's Pay Gap Problem
While the nation celebrates the Women's World Cup squad, Quartz.com has some eye-opening stats about the gap in pay between male and female soccer players. According to its stats, the U.S. women will receive $2 million for winning the World Cup compared to $35 million Germany's World Cup-winning men's team received for its victory last summer. The numbers aren't much better within the U.S.Male soccer professionals receive a minimum salary of $60,000 per year whereas players in the National Women’s Soccer League can receive as little as $6,842 per season.
