Kobe Bryant, Scottie Pippen dive into DeAndre Jordan emoji battle

No offense to the likes of Chandler Parsons and JJ Redick, but Wednesday’s Emoji Battle That May Never End over DeAndre Jordan’s reported flip-flopping was taken to a new level once Kobe Bryant and Scottie Pippen chimed in.

No offense to the likes of Chandler Parsons and JJ Redick, but Wednesday’s Emoji Battle That May Never End over DeAndre Jordan’s reported flip-flopping was taken to a new level once Kobe Bryant and Scottie Pippen chimed in.

Bryant, previously silent on Twitter for the day, jumped into the madness by tweeting, “Emoji battle?” This thing is really strange, after all.

It began with the news of Jordan reportedly reconsidering his verbal commitment to the Dallas Mavericks in favor of a possible return to the Los Angeles Clippers, continued with a flurry of Photoshops and kicked into high gear once the likes of Parsons, Reddick, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul started tweeting transportation-related emoji.

• GOLLIVER: What should DeAndre Jordan do?

You see, they were all supposedly en route to Houston to try and convince Jordan to sign with their respective teams.

Once ESPN reporter Jemele Hill told Bryant, “All the kids are doing it, apparently,” he apparently figured it out.

Now that‘s the Kobe Bryant we know and love. A brief reminder of his five NBA Finals trophies and then a stage-right exit with the #mambaout hashtag.

Also, about an hour earlier, Michael Jordan’s social media team at Jumpman shared a reminder of MJ’s six titles. We led with Bryant, however, because something tells us there’s a greater chance he’s actually hitting “Send” on those tweets than MJ is.

NBA rumors: Free agency and trades

Next up was Scottie Pippen, echoing support for his former teammate*
