New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez posed for an awkward photo to promote Brett Gardner’s All-Star Game candidacy.

Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner is one of five American League players on MLB's Final Vote ballot for the All-Star Game. In order to promote his candidacy, the Yankees have been having their players and other team members pose for photos while wearing bald caps. 

Even if Gardner doesn’t make the team, the campaign was worthwhile because it gave us another incredibly goofy photo of Alex Rodriguez. 

AL manager Ned Yost didn't choose A-Rod for the team, but the controversial slugger teamed up with manager Joe Girardi to help spread the #VoteGardy message.
