T.J. Oshie sends Capitals care package to fan who cried after trade

Friday July 17th, 2015

When T.J. Oshie was traded to the Capitals from the Blues, many St. Louis fans were sad to see the forward go, but none more than five-year-old Libby, whose tearful reaction was posted to YouTube by her mother.

The video quickly took off, leading to Libby appearing on SportsCenter and fielding a call from the U.S. Olympic team star, where Oshie explained that she could still cheer him on as a member of the Capitals.

On Thursday, Oshie showed just how dedicated he is to keeping Libby as a fan by sending her a gift package filled with gear for his new squad, and based on the photos, it looks like Libby will be cheering on the Capitals and the Blues next season.
