Parakeet gets bird’s-eye view of Mets game

Yoenis Cespedes had a feathered friend stop by for his fourth-inning at-bat at Citi Field Wednesday night, when a bird perched itself on the backstop netting.
Cespedes was wearing a bright yellow arm sleeve to match the team’s new avian fan, which he later told reporters hoped make him look like the bird.

Yoenis Cespedes said he wore his yellow armband because "I knew there was a bird on the field and I wanted to look like the bird." #Mets

The brightly colored bird must have brought some good luck from wherever it flew in from, as Cespedes hit his first home run as a Met on Wednesday to help the team to a 3–0 victory over the Rockies.
