Penn State buried a tape of its loss to Temple

Penn State’s football season did not get off to the start the team or the fans were hoping for as the Nittany Lions suffered a 27-10 loss to Temple in Philadelphia on Saturday.
The team decided the only way to move on from the difficult opener was to start anew, so it took the game tape and buried it under a practice field.

Burying things under the field is not a new idea in football, as Tony Sparano took the Raiders out to bury a football when he became interim head coach of the team. Penn State may have better luck turning its fortunes around than did the Raiders.
