Packers fans ate a bratwurst the length of Lambeau Field

Green Bay Packers fans lived up to their sausage-loving reputation over the weekend when they gathered at Lambeau Field to enjoy a world record-setting bratwurst that weighed 250 pounds and measured 120 yards, the length of a football field.

Of course a gigantic bratwurst requires a gigantic grill, and the Johnsonville Sausage company had a 360-foot stainless steel model custom made for the occasion.

The idea came about to honor the 100th anniversary of Delaware North, the hospitality corporation that runs concessions at the famed Wisconsin stadium, and the party had the added benefit of raising around $40,000 for charities, including the local chapter of the Humane Society, who was also on hand with shelter pets to adopt.

The party also gave the fans an opportunity to do the only think they like more than eating bratwurst: watching the Packers beat the Bears.
