There's some alternate world where Elaine Benes and David Puddy had a baby back in the mid '90s and that baby is now a forward on the Devils. But in real life, Julia Louis Dreyfus's son Charlie Hall (with husband Brad Hall, not Puddy) is a Northwestern basketball walk-on.
Sleeping Yankees Fan Loses Lawsuit
Remember the guy who fell asleep in the stands of a 2014 Red Sox-Yankees game and was ridiculed by the ESPN announcers and then sued the sports network, Major League Baseball and the Yankees for $10 million? The case was thrown out of court by a New York judge. Though I give an A for effort to the snoozer, who even appeared on the Today Show to drum up interest in his case.

Sportsman of the Year
This is one hell of a story. North Carolina resident Joe Gillespie (and his mullet) attended Charlotte Beerfest at BB&T Ballpark a couple weeks ago and got so drunk he passed out at the bottom of a stairwell and woke up at 12:30 a.m., way after the event was over, inside an empty stadium. He stumbled into the (unlocked) mascot's dressing room, put on the outfit of Homer the Dragon and spent the night partying until he took an Uber home in full costume at 5:30 a.m. He was arrested early the next morning. Also worth noting: The Gin Blossoms performed at the Beerfest and Gillespie considers the night a win because he "got like three numbers that night and have added like 20 chicks on Facebook."
