Munenori Kawasaki on Blue Jays AL East win: ‘I’m drunk’

Thursday October 1st, 2015

The Blue Jays clinched the AL East on Wednesday as the team prepares for its first postseason in 22 years, and as Toronto celebrated, the greatest interview subject in Major League Baseball, Munenori Kawasaki stepped up to the microphone and delivered some magic.

Kawasaki starts off with a bang, informing the interviewer that he is drunk, and that he would like to have a champagne party.

When he is asked about his son being born in Canada, the infielder admits that his English is fading thanks to all the celebrating, and would prefer if the interview were conducted in Japanese.

It looked like quite a party so hopefully fans will get a look a Jose Bautista’s first person GoPro footage of the event sometime soon.
