Doug Baldwin went to shake the ref’s hand and got left hanging

Would Doug Baldwin have gotten called for excessive celebration if he actually did shake the ref’s hand?

When someone extends their hand to you, the reflex is to reach out your hand and shake. It’s just instinct. So we have to commend the back judge in Monday’s Seahawks-Lions game for exhibiting the self-restraint to not dap up Doug Baldwin after his touchdown.

Baldwin is certainly no stranger to interesting touchdown celebrations. Perhaps he was inspired this by the BYU receiver who hugged the ref after his team won on a Hail Mary last month.
