Mets coach can’t even summon the words to describe Murphy’s home run

The fine folks at TBS were smart enough to hook Mets first base coach Tom Goodwin up with a microphone so we could listen in on brilliant insight like this.

That was after Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy laced a home run down the rightfield line in Game 2 of the NLCS against the Cubs on Sunday. The homer was Murphy’s fifth of the postseason and gave the Mets a 3–0 lead.
Goodwin, despite playing in 21 postseason games, never hit a home run in the playoffs, which is a shame because it seems like he would have had a post-homer celebration that could have rivaled Jose Bautista’s.
